Business Intelligence Analyst - Merchandising

The Business Intelligence Analyst is a vital member of our Data & Analytics team, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable business insights. Collaborating closely with leadership and various departments, they champion data-driven decision-making across the organization by designing and deploying timely analytics, defining key performance indicators, and implementing robust business intelligence solutions. Through their expertise in tools like SQL and Tableau, and their passion for visualization and reporting, the BI Analyst ensures that our business strategies are informed, measured, and refined based on accurate and interpretable data insights. The BI analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design data models, develop reports and dashboards, and deliver data-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, knowledge of the modern data stack (dbt, Snowflake, git, Tableau, Fivetran, and more) and business intelligence tools, as well as the ability to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.   • Collaborate with leadership to gather and present data insights to the sales, operations teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Champion BI and Analytics best practices throughout the organization; create ongoing and ad hoc reports using tools like SQL and Tableau; standardize organization-wide reporting measures.
  • Oversee Data & Analytics projects, emphasizing quality assurance and alignment with business operations; drive and set standards for BI methodologies across teams.
  • Deliver timely analysis, supporting visualizations, reporting, create experimentation plans, define KPIs and metrics, and align measurement with business goals and long-term objectives
  • Establish report and dashboard templates; work with data architects to maintain a comprehensive data catalog; work with data governance to establish a single source of truth
  • Support learning models, identify operational enhancements, and drive solutions for the organization from a position of BI as a Center of Excellence
  • Implement and optimize BI platforms, update and maintain documentation, and ensure tool relevance, drive innovation and technology adoption in BI
  • Conduct BI tool demos, assist users with data interpretation, and ensure user needs are met consistently
  • Help drive the organization roadmap for data as a product, with BI as the lens.

  • Knowledge in advanced analytics, retail transaction data, modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries blending data from various sources. Experience with Python or R is a plus.
  • Some exposure and/or desire to learn the modern data stack (dbt, snowflake, databricks, git, fivetran, etc), and passion for staying on the leading edge of analytics technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in uncovering data insights and providing actionable business recommendations. Should possess the ability to draw meaningful narratives from data and transform them into visually compelling stories.
  • Experience with experimental design and measurement techniques like A/B testing.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with leading BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI, and a proven ability to create intuitive and impactful visualizations that drive data-driven decision-making at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • Outstanding communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with diverse teams and articulate presentation of findings to varied audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Intellectual curiosity, a forward-thinking mindset, and a commitment to sharing knowledge and pioneering new insights.
  • Bachelor's Degree Degree with a concentration in business, economics or statistics is preferred.

Pay Range

$103,000.00 - $154,600.00

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
