Job Description

We’re hiring for a Senior Director of Business Development who will be responsible for developing strategic business plans and cultivate new business opportunities for our Gas Distribution and Station Operations (GDSO) team.

  • You are a demonstrated strategic thinker with proven ability to develop strategic plans that meet business objectives.  

  • You have intuition that can spot business opportunities, research them and turn them into growth opportunities.  

  • You show how data is used to validate suitability for acquisition; review and study financial statements and information provided by acquisition targets to derive insights about business performance, viability and opportunities for growth. 

  • You have experience building relationships for existing co-brands and Quick Service Restaurant partners to identify new relationships and build strategy. 

  • You have a commanding ability to rationalize assets and investments. 

  • You manage and lead multiple, complex projects with limited supervision. 

  • You show communicative effectiveness in all interactions and work well cross-departmentally and with internal legal counsel.  

“Gauges” of Responsibility 

  • Develop and grow customer relationships to create incremental business value. 

  • Plan, coordinate, execute and manage (end to end work stream) on Business Development opportunities.  

  • Negotiate business terms and play a key role in the due diligence process along with Legal Team 

  • Continually engage GDSO teams cross functionally to support the evaluation and development of the company’s long-term strategic plan. 

  • Develop an understanding of GDSO capabilities and assets to identify and model synergies for acquisition target. 

  • Prepare packets and presentations for GDSO senior team to review but not limited to: goals, timing projections, business requirements and risk projections.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 7+ years’ experience in the corporate strategic planning oil and gas industry preferred, but not required. 

  • Experience in M&A.  

  • Demonstrated presentation skills. 

  • Industry experience in retail, franchise, quick service restaurant (QSR) business development. 

  • Approximately 25% regional travel. 

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from and accredited four-year university or college. MBA preferred.
