IT Disaster Recovery Technical Program Manager

We ae hiring for an IT Disaster Recovery Technical Program Manager who will work closely with the IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams, along with other IT cross-functional teams, to ensure that ITDR capabilities across the IT/OT Technology environment will meet or exceed the Recovery Time (RTO) and Recovery Point (RPO) objectives. This person will be accountable for ensuring the ability to recover critical business and IT systems, in a timely and organized manner, in the event of a successful ransomware attack or other high-impact event.

 “Gauges of Responsibility”:

  • Update and maintain the IT Disaster Recovery Plan (ITDR) to enable the organization to respond to any disaster, or other emergency that impacts the information technology systems and to minimize the effect on business operations.
  • Align the IT DR plans with the Business Continuity Management (BCM) to ensure business continuance and minimize company losses in the event of a disaster.
  • Work with key stakeholders in defining, scoping and testing DR Service levels such as DR Tiers, Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and others.
  • Work with technical teams to create ITDR recovery procedures/plans (“Run Books”).
  • Assist with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercise to ensure all plans are maintained in line with changing business requirements.
  • Develop, actively manage and coordinate ITDR related testing schedules, objectives, exercises and reviews.
  • Responsible for developing and managing an ITDR calendar which incorporates the activities designed to monitor the effectiveness of the ITDR framework.
  • Identify deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement to existing ITDR processes and procedures.
  • Develop management reporting and metrics that provides measure of success and present reports to management.

  • Minimum 10+ years of IT experience, with 4 to 6 years of experience in planning and executing Disaster Recovery operations for a large enterprise
  • College education in Computer Science or related field with equivalent work experience working in Information Technology
  • Business Continuity Planning/DR Certifications from an industry recognized certification board such as DRII, BCI
  • Working knowledge of system recovery methods
  • Ability to facilitate the development of DR program(s) and strategy with key stakeholders; working knowledge of virtual environments (VMware & Others)
