- Define high level role, assortment and pricing strategy for non-perishables categories to optimize profitable topline sales and unit growth.
- Negotiate annual contracts with top suppliers across all non-perishables categories.
- Leverage consumer insights and ideation process for non-perishable categories to deliver assortment and pricing strategies that support company’s four pillars.
- Ensure alignment with brand standards while driving innovation.
- Lead the creation and development of private label within non-perishables categories.
- Lead category managers to create planograms and determine merchandising strategy to maximize sales per square foot.
- Collaborate with retail support to ensure efficient and visually appealing layouts.
- Develop and execute a pricing and promotional strategy non-perishables categories, both to support financial KPI’s as well as drive loyalty share.
- Analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights with plan, to achieve budget commitments
- Complete ROI analysis for new initiatives, projects, and equipment investments, ensuring and leading the team to properly execute on initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with leadership team in operations, distribution, construction and marketing, to execute food service and perishable category strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance that fosters a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Authority to define, update, change and optimize the product assortment offerings for all non-perishable categories across all store formats, supporting overall product strategy.
- Define and manage pricing and promotional strategies.
- Decision-making on vendor partnerships, product sourcing, and supplier agreements for perishable categories.
- Responsibility for creating front-of-house (FOH) planograms and determining space allocations to maximize sales per square foot.
- Associate's degree required
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to develop and implement strategies for non-perishable categories
- Proficiency in creating and curating category assortments tailored to diverse customer needs and store formats.
- Expertise in managing complex projects, including new initiatives, equipment investments, and M&A integration.
- Proficiency in analyzing market data, financial performance, and customer insights to make inform decisions.
- Capability to create and manage financial budgets at both department and site level.
- Competence in space planning, planogram development, optimizing sales per square foot.
- Understanding of supply chain and inventory management for non-perishable products.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state requirements surrounding age-verified categories.
- Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide team to work cross-functionally with key areas of company.
- Bachelor's Degree
The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
