Your Role, Your Impact
- Develop, configure, modify, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications supporting terminal operations.
- Support automation systems for: tank farms, truck loading racks, rail loading and unloading systems, pump and valve control systems, metering systems, and additive injection systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, networking, instrumentation, and control system issues.
- Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning activities for automation projects.
- Develop and maintain PLC logic, functional specifications, cause-and-effect matrices, and control narratives.
- Support networked industrial environments including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC, and serial communications.
- Participate in emergency troubleshooting and after-hours support as needed.
- Maintain system backups, change management documentation, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives within operational technology (OT) environments.
Qualifications
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC platforms such as:Rockwell/Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogixSiemensSchneider ElectricExperience with HMI and SCADA systems.Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols:Ethernet/IPModbus TCP/RTUOPCSerial communicationsExperience with instrumentation including:Flow metersPressure transmittersLevel systemsTemperature devicesValve controlsUnderstanding electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control narratives.Ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems in a live operational environment.
- Preferred QualificationsExperience in bulk liquid terminal operations, petroleum distribution, or pipeline facilities.Familiarity with terminal automation systems and loading rack control systems.Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity practices and OT network architecture.Experience supporting upgrades and migrations of legacy automation systems.Familiarity with safety instrumented systems and regulatory requirements.Relevant certifications in PLC programming, controls, or industrial networking.

- Working Conditions:Work performed in office, terminal, and field environments.Up to 25% travel to terminal locations may be required.Comfortable working in environments with industrial equipment and varying weather conditions.Participation in an on-call rotation and availability for off-hours support as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field
The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
